British Library Playtime

Following the success of the Timeline, The British Library approached us to help launch and digitise their extensive photography, audio and video archive documenting children’s games and rhymes from 1900 to the present day.

The microsite was designed and developed by the Digital Learning Agency to sit within the British Library site framework and includes a large searchable index and allows the user to peruse a century of play – from clapping games, to Cops and Robbers.

Successful Launch

The British Library had a very successful launch with Playtime, which included national press ad TV, as well as online coverage documenting the research and digitising process.
